This past May, we had the pleasure of attending events held by Women in Research across the country as a sponsor. George Llorens, Hilary Belletti and I attended in New York City, where Jessica Bennett, contributing writer for the New York Times and author of Feminist Fight Club joined a conversation at the LinkedIn offices.
On the same day, Matt Dusig, Rodney Lazar, and Mynor Garcia attended the 10-year celebration of WIRe in Los Angeles. Innovate was also proud to sponsor a 1 hour interactive and hands-on workshop in Chicago on May 25th, led by Erin Fredericks, Chair of the Chicago chapter.
What is WIRe?
Women in Research works with women in the market research industry to provide tools for professional development, network with others in the field, and get inspired. By creating a strong community throughout the country and providing valuable resources like the spring meetups, WIRe connects women in the market research space across the globe through local events.
This takes the form of city events like the ones held in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago this May, as well as webinars and mentoring programs, the WIRe Global Scholarship Fund, and special events and seminars for leaders in the space.
Innovate’s Support for Women in Research
Innovate is a proud sponsor of Women in Research and worked together with them at several recent events.
At the New York event, George and I awarded one of the many attendees with a raffle prize on behalf of Innovate, and George shared his thoughts on the importance of the event. You can see a video summary of WIRe’s New York event, along with some of what makes it so important to the community in this video:
If you’re interested in attending any of the coming year’s WIRe events, you can stay up to date on their special events and city events on their website here.
